- Stuart put out a flyer tempting people to become like Bill Gates and Stephen Dorrington and learn to play bridge and get rich. Start 7:15 - 7th March at Tauranga Club 5765022 (Norm), Te Puke on 8th 5738523 (Eric) and 9th March Mt Maunganui 5752474 (Bren). $70.00. Several weeks of lessons taught same at all 3 clubs.
- Dan put out lists to visit and see Kiwi Can at different schools throughout Tauranga. As this is a cause we support, it is important that members understand what it is all about. Let Dan know and he will arrange a visit - Well worth the effort.
- Dan announced that he, Wayne and anyone else are undertaking the Mt Everest Challenge (38 times up the mount in 50 days) to raise funds for Women's Refuge and to get fit.

- Wayne said Befriender Money has been passed on to Alzheimer's Association and he is still looking to involve other local clubs in this commitment.
- Dave thanked all for work with Save A Life. Website being tweaked and repackaging and pricing being done (3 capsules to a pack plus information card). Gift of 20 aspirins. Hutt club took their empty capsules but Barfoot and Thomson in Blockhouse Bay rejected their order in the end.

Chris Rapson showed off the Hawke Cup which was won by BOP team helped by our speaker Alex Lees.
Alex Lees a 23 year old Yorkshire man entertained us with his career history and his experience in New Zealand. He is a successful professional player who in his 6 years as a professional has experienced many opportunities, countries and adventures (challenges). He will be returning to Halifax for a few weeks before he leaves to travel to Dubai to play a 4 day match.
Alex has managed to visit some of New Zealand with his girlfriend and admits that many other professional cricketers loved and recommended he visit NZ as a tourist.
Alex admits to being obsessed with cricket and admits that it was the only sport he was qualified (desired) to play.
Bill Holland thanked Alex for sharing his adventures and for helping BOP win the cup and for helping the Tauranga Boys learn a few things about professional cricket.
Dean Thomson was our sergeant today and spoke about his experiences this past week with Valentine's Day. His wife went to her book club and he went to learn about Foundation . There are 19 sectors withing the Foundation. One of these is the Arch Klumph Society which you can become a member of by donating $250.000 US.
Dean then spoke about Trump and how it is even affecting discipline in the intermediate school. He shared several points of view on Trump and generally concluded with John Howard's quote of - Trump needs to make it work for the USA and the world,
