Acknowledgement for the great work Stephen and Glenys have done with organising Mrs Krishna’s Party. Raised $3,000 for ROMAC.
Wendy- A few collections coming up the first being 20/21 September for the Alzheimer’s Society.
Breast Cancer and Blind and Hearing Foundation coming up in October.
David Robinson – Will now be our club contact person for coordinating police vetting forms.
Kathy – Treasured Art – Quite a lot of art coming in but still  looking for some quality pre-loved art especially by named artists (assuming they all have a name)
Max Mason – is off for another adventure cycling up the middle of Australia.  Notwithstanding cars, trains, buses and planes seem to go that way, Max has decided to bike.  
If you would like to sponsor his ride, he has set up a Givealittle page. All proceeds going to Graeme Dingle Foundation. He has already raised over $5,000. If you sponsored him 1c per km that’s about $30.
A ten pin bowling challenge against some other clubs is coming up soon more info to follow.
Brief report from each committee
Club Services
On 30 October combined Rotary clubs are holding a function at the Tauranga Club with the view to telling potential members about Rotary. It’s a great opportunity to bring new members to see what Rotary is about.
28 September there is a New to the Bay Expo where we will have a stand.
Dave Woodhouse is running the speakers calendar. If you have anyone interesting to come to talk to the Club let him know. Bookings from January next year
New Generations
We have an approved candidate for Outward Bound for early next year.
RYPEN planning underway also summer science school enrollments are open.
Community Services
Wendy is co-ordinating the street appeals.
Looking to build a data base of community groups also working on a community awards evening.
Barbara and Pat are talking to the Bay Oval Trust re rubbish collecting at the cricket again
Events committee
K Valley cycle race on again next year, Karaoke and movie nights planned.
Treasured Art in November
Breakfast in the tent set down for 1 November.
A suggestion was made that we should be looking at succession planning for each event for continuity and a refresh from time to time.
Preliminary work is being done on a This is Us project which would be a welcome wall concept for Tauranga. Les and Pauline are meeting with key stakeholders – Council and other interested parties -shortly.
International
Applying for a District grant for $2,000 to assist in a project $4,000 for Threads Across the Pacific.

Rounded out the meeting with some fines for deeds of note including Greg Brownless dropping keys into the sea, quickly followed by his jacket; Barry scaring a potential purchaser so much he had a heart attack while signing up for a property (that’s the purchaser, not Barry),
Henry cleverly disguising himself at a function and Ken’s cameo performance at Mrs Krishnan’s  party.
