Good line up of speakers through to July, so new speakers may have to wait as booked two months in advance. Lisa Phillips to be the new Director of Club Services. Continued membership drive by the committee.
Director Community Service - Shiv Thammalla
Amazing Spaces, The Garden an Art festival have indicated the project no longer aligns with their strategy. Change in name for the project to “Behind Closed Doors”. Committee will pursue this project for a couple of months and then make a final call if we will continue or not.
There is a nee d to get to at least eight properties or places.
Doc Matson is coordinating an Alzheimer’s collect on Friday 26th May, so will be looking for helpers
Fundraiser – Gala Dinner, committee will pursue this fundraiser, just need to determine the charity the funds will go towards.
Director New Generations – Indeevar Duhan
Outward Bound – the club has secured funding to subside ¾ of cost for two places, so looking for nominations, candidates need to be between 18-25 years of age.
Rotary Youth Exchange - The committee are looking to identify students that are interested for the 2024 year. There also no inbound students this year.
RYLA also looking for nominations. Indeevar will also organise presentation to members so that they can learn more about each of these programs.
Director Environment Committee - Michele Beaton
Drain Sock, as the drain sock has gone again the committee have decided to hand this project back to the council as they are better equipped to continue ongoing maintenance.
K-Valley Cycle Adventure was a great success and will be able to be enhanced further next time with sale of T-Shirts, dress ups, and involve other environmental groups.

Director International Service - Glenys Parton
Books for Schools in Vanuatu went well, with 14 boxes of books being delivered over 8 schools.
Threads across the Pacific – Always on the lookout for good fabric.
ROMAC – has kicked off the year well with one you boy ohis way home after waiting two years for his critical heart surgery. There is also three operations planned for Sydney, so good to see Australia coming onboard to.

Sergeant Session: James Clague
James gave us a very passionate talk on the War in Ukraine and the history that has lead Russia, Ukraine and Nato to this point. He also discussed what is required to achieve peace. He would love to see Peace achieved.
