, Ross introduced his longtime Friend
Mark Anderson
as speaker who is the Bay of Plenty GARDEN & ART FESTIVAL Director.
Mark told us that from a very young age he traveled the northern hemisphere as a rowdy stage hand with some great named artist. One is Tom Jones. After Tom had finished performing Mark had the job of collecting the all the Bra’s and Knickers that had been throw on to the stage during the performance, he added the smalls were mostly brand new and clean.
On returning to NZ with his wife Iris in 2014, he helped set up the 2017 Garden & Art festival. After 2 years of Covid cancellations, he is now the Festival Director which is a 12 month 24/7 job.
Mark then got our attention by telling us to listen carefully because there would be a quiz with prizes! He proceeded to inform us that there was now a NZ Garden and Art Festival Trust (2001) .The Trustees are Lynda Burch (chair), James Sherson, Annie Hill, Nichola Vague and Rebecca Ryder
