Speaker
Bill Holland wasn’t going to be let down by technology as he plotted his Tokyo – Kyota journey across an apparently snow-covered landscape. Two nights in Tokyo, then a Bullet Train to the Kasaoke Rotary 60th celebrations (complete with Cherry blossoms). A day trip to Horishima, 2 nights in Kyoto, followed by naked bathing at a traditional Ryokan – some proving to be a little more traditional than others.
There was certainly enough enthusiasm in the room for another trip, although it was not clear if the appeal lay in the Karaoke options or bathing arrangements.
Bill also reflected on 30 odd years in Rotary citing the fellowship and good karma he felt at being able to lend a hand. Choose something you want to get involved in and get into it he says!

Sergeant Session
Eric Happé continued his solo act – Firstly by fining the entire club for the lack of a Volunteer Sergeant -Shame!
Parting thoughts

Image result for People are about as happy
Proving that Maori Language week meant more to some than others – the National Anthem reverted to Brackens original, and without Neil Matson’s aural guidance lacked it’s intended melodic dirge-like quality.
